Greetings, 

 

Easter is coming! Jesus is alive and well! He is doing great works around us. People are being saved, lives changed. Transformation in this life is absolutely possible through the power of our risen savior Jesus Christ. You may be feeling discouraged and broken, and that will happen from time to time in this life. Sometimes more often than not, but always remember that our God is bigger than any foe or hurdle that stands before us. 

 

Our God is sovereign and loving. His love endures forever, He is the beginning and end, He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. Our Lord is abundant in power. His understanding is beyond measure. 

 

God does not change. Who He is never changes. His attributes are the same from before the beginning of time into eternity. We can be confident that God is self-sufficient, we can go to Him to satisfy all of our needs. All of them! 

 

He is able. He is so powerful that He can do anything without any effort on His part. To lose faith in the power of our God is to mean that you do not comprehend the awesome power of God. 

 

My prayer is that you be hangry to know the power, love and complexity of a God that did everything necessary to be in a right relationship with you. The best way to know these things is to read the Bible. 

 

Remember to invite people to our Easter service! We are looking forward to gathering with friends and family at 10:00 a.m. (half an hour earlier than normal) this Sunday, April 21, in the Spinning Room at Willamette Heritage Center (formerly Mission Mill). A delicious breakfast buffet will be provided, followed by a special service to celebrate our risen Savior.
